Best of '09

What was your best fishing trip of 2009? So far, mine would be a wading trip for smallmouth on the Tygart River. We only caught 31 fish and we didn't catch any big bass but it was a great day spent with an old friend.

I would have to say the best of 2009 would have to be when I traveled to the Louisiana for a Bassmasters weekend series tournament and actually caught fish and did ok. I think that will be topped next month. I am heading down to Choke Canyon to fish in a wounded soldiers tournament. There should be about 100 of us boater owners there that get to take a wounded soldier fishing. I can't wait.

I have had several good trips this year but I think the best was on July 3rd. We hit Kanawha River and boated over 100 fish with proably 50 or more being bass. It was one of the best days I have ever had.

That is an awesome day TM, especially for July. The Kanawha River can be great.
