fishing braxton lakes

HI,Wont be long and fishing is what i will be doing.Has to be a little bit warmer for me.OK last summer I fished sutton lake,burnsville lake.I was disappointed.Me and my husband fished all summer long I bet we never cought 30 fish.must have been using wrong bait.Go to Indiana and catch bass,bluegill all day long on night crawlers.So what is the best bait to use here in wv?

i use live minnows alot,my trick on sutton lake is topwater baits at dawn and an hour before.

My husband and I have fished at Sutton and Burnsville ,no luck at Sutton . Burnsville we catch Channel Cat all the time.
